The Architect Journal have published a digital edition celebrating 30 years of architecture at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition and it features the majority of the 2012 entries. My [RE]Constructed Ground #01 is published with a picture and short description, which be found here (subscription required) on page 44. I also like the nice simple diagram of all the entries and their titles.

Scraplights by Graypants
Great light shades made from recycled/scrap cardboard, cut on a laser and assembled by hand. Beautiful appearance and lighting affect both in its whole and close up detail. Following my post on Play of Brilliants, it is another nice example of using a commonplace cheap/standard materialin a new & innovative way. Why is it always lamp/light related?!?!

Play of Brilliants
My friend Alistair Blake has created these beautiful lamps from standard copper plumbing elements. Great to see commonplace modular manufactured components used in new & innovative ways. Aesthetically the copper is untreated and will develop a unique patina with age & use.
